Think of Gem West as your local Pinterest board. Based in Boise, the hope is to get our audience excited about what is happening, and what could happen, here in Idaho and the greater West.

Each season, Gem West will release a digital magazine full of creative content—think styled shoots, seasonal trends, feature stories, and more. The best part? The magazine will feature submissions from local creatives like you!

Throughout the year Gem West will also be posting creative content and other fun stuff on the gram, so stay tuned there as well!

The Vibe

Each issue will have its own specific vibe to keep things fresh and fun! As Gem West grows, we’re excited to see it evolve and find its own special niche. It’s girly, it’s creative, it’s fun! You know that feeling when you get on a pinning streak, or when you open a magazine, rip out the pages you love, and paste them onto your vision board? Yep, that’s exactly what we’re going for!

We also want Gem West to be a space that’s mindful of our younger audience, so we kindly ask all creatives to keep this in mind when choosing what to submit.

Whether it's a content day, a creative idea you cooked up and decided to shoot, or a real client shoot that turned into magic, we want to see it!

Spotlights

Behind beautiful work, there are beautiful humans who make it happen. MUA's, hair stylists, nail artists, bakers, event planners, florists, photographers, models, and more. We know that the west, and Boise in particular, is full of talent. Most of you work behind the scenes, but we love to give our magic makers the spotlight when we can.

ALL submissions, including spotlights, must include a photo gallery. Submissions will be considered for the seasonal magazine, blog, and/or instagram page. ALL involved vendors/clients must grant their approval of being featured prior to submission. ALL involved vendors will be credited accordingly. Once again, please ensure that all submissions are mindful of our younger audience.
